Sophie Wright is the General Manager for Australia and New Zealand at OpenSolar, where she leads regional strategy and growth across the solar and energy storage ecosystem. She brings deep experience spanning renewable energy, executive leadership, and financial strategy, with a track record of scaling impact driven organisations. Previously, Sophie was CEO of Electrify Victoria and Geelong Electric Vehicle Chargers, where she played a leading role in accelerating clean energy and EV infrastructure across the region.
Working in the solar industry since 2019, Sophie is a founding Director of Australian Women in Solar Energy (AWISE) and a strong advocate for diversity and leadership development within the sector. She is both a SAA Accredited PV Grid Connect and Battery Designer and a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), uniquely combining technical credibility with strong commercial insight. Sophie is passionate about demystifying solar for consumers and believes electrification is central to Australia’s energy future. Her work is driven by a clear mission to make clean energy more accessible, practical, and economically compelling, accelerating the transition of homes, businesses, and transport to renewable power at scale.
