Take a Stand on Solar in NSW!

The new Coalition Government has reneged on its pre-election promise to resolve Kristina Kenneally's boom/bust and bang Solar Bonus Scheme. Instead they have dealt the fatal blow to many solar installers and industries in NSW. In addition they are going against their own policy by trying to introduce retrospective legislation! Consumers bought systems and joined the scheme at a 60 cent Feed In Tariff and now they intend to reduce the FiT to 40 cents for all existing customers.

We think that's illegal. (If only we could change our votes that easily!)

We need to send a clear message to the NSW Coalition that hard working Australians believe in solar and will fight for the right to generate power to offset rising electricity prices and de-carbonise our environment. We demand a level playing field - parallel subsidies for coal and solar and an equitable and sustainable Feed-In Tariff and Solar Scheme.

"I am concerned that the NSW Coalition have scrapped the Feed In Tariff for new solar installations in NSW. Voters should not be penalised for choosing to take direct action on climate change and reduce their carbon footprint as we move into a low carbon economy. At the very least there must be a parity Feed In Tariff in place. I vote for a Fair feed In Tariff in NSW."
